Operation Downstream Process Engineer
Functieomschrijving
In the frame of several customer projects in development phase, the Process Engineer is responsible for the development of peptide (API) downstream processes. It will include:
- To define the lab scale purification, isolation and production concept.
- To optimize and qualify the process to secure robustness and reliability.
- To carry out the chemical process scaling-up with the industrial adaptation of the operation units; to ensure optimal productivity, process robustness, cost and environmentally-friendliness.
- To manage the validation activities of the non recurrent commercial campaigns
- To efficiently transfer the new processes to the recurrent commercial product team
- To ensure the technical project management (coordination of all downstream activities with technicians, QA, QC, ...).
- To interact with the whole organization and ensure excellent customer project communication in a proactive way.
Profiel
Education: you own a Master or Doctor in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biotechnology, with a first experience in pharma, fine chemistry or biotechnology sector.
Technical skills: knowledge of peptide /protein chemistry, preparative purification techniques (HPLC), process engineering and industrialization.
You are used to work in a GMP and safety environment.
Interpersonal skills: strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills are essential to fulfil this role, plus an ability to manage people, excellent team spirit, adaptability to priorities adjustment, entrepreneurial skills, and customer oriented.
Fluency in French and English is a must.
