New Media - Search Specialist
Functieomschrijving
Are you addicted to web technologies and local search?
Do you have in-depth understanding of web applications and search engines?
Reporting to the Search & Ranking Lead you will:
- Be responsible for the operational management of Truvo's search engine (bug fixes, deployments) in stage and production environments over release cycles
- Work with external vendors in order to implement new solutions and business requirements
- Manage a backlog of bugs and work with product and release managers to define scope and implement solutions
As well as:
- Monitor the search systems and report on defined KPIs
- Execute and interpret analyses of search logs to improve overall search quality across platforms
- Proactively develop innovative solutions that strive to improve search experience
Profiel
If you have:
- A bachelor degree (preferably IT related)
- A strong background in technology / web development / search
- Good linux skills, familiarity with perl, java and general architecture of large scale websites
- Passion for the world of search and the latest online trendsAnd:
- A customer oriented way of thinking and an appreciation for technical/business logic
- Willingness to acquire new skills overnight
- Great communication skills
- Fluent spoken and written English skills
