Our client, a leading company in the mechanical and materials industry (engineering and manufacturing), is looking for a Maintenance Manager.
MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Functieomschrijving
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the curative and preventive maintenance of equipment and machines (mainly CNC) in a large industrial company (parts manufacturing and assembly of aerospace components). You will report directly to the Plant Manager
The main challenges of this position are:
* to progress from a curative towards a preventive environment
* optimization of the department (processes, structure and interaction with other departments)
* leadership towards technicians
* projects
You will work with other professionals, to improve production equipment and machines, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns, and develop strategies to improve overall reliability, availability and safety of the equipment.
Skills and responsibilities:
* People management (5 employees and 25 maintenance technicians)
* Realization of different projects within the area of maintenance to develop an optimal maintenance process.
* A good understanding of the relevant technology.
* Maintain and improve SHE on all machines and equipment
* Good practical skills and a common sense approach.
* To keep continuously informed of all new developments within the maintenance and technological field.
Profiel
Education: Industrial Engineering education or Mechanical Engineering preferred
Languages: French and/or Dutch, English
Skills / Experience:
* Relevant experience in an industrial maintenance department.
* A good understanding of the relevant technology and the functioning of machines (electronics, electricity, numerical controls, PLC, pneumatics, measuring and control engineering, automation ...).
* You have a proven track record in the management of technicians, you enjoy challenging technical problems and you are fascinated by new technologies. You combine structured work habits and documentation skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
