Functieomschrijving
1. The IT Project Manager is involved in software development projects as from initiation until closure. The scope of the project is not limited to only the IT/network deliverables, but includes also the business deliverables needed to go life (such as reference data readiness, user acceptance testing, training and process).
2. He drives the project following the project management processes and assures the correct delivery (on time - on quality) of intermediate and final deliverables.
3. During initiation he guides the requestor in introducing his request. Once accepted, he ensures the project is present in the project dashboard and completes the dashboard with info related to guesstimates, involved teams and expected timings.
4. During planning phase he works together with the IT Business Analysts for scoping, analysis & design - and with the teams for capacity reservation and tentative schedule. As soon as possible in this planning phase, he presents a project charter.
5. He follows up the review and sign off of the RFA (Requirements & Functional Analysis). He will make sure all stakeholders are involved in this review. He will work with the IBA to have estimates reviewed/fine tuned, with team leaders to have capacity planned, and with the test manager to define the right testing approach. He follows up the delivery of the test plan, review and sign off. He evaluates with the IBA process impacts and involves a process analyst as needed.
6. During execution he works together with the teams, the test manager and business system owner to follow up all deliverables. Also risk and issues are regularly reviewed and followed-up. Any (major risk on) deviation from plan is identified, corrective actions are put in place and reporting and/or escalation is done properly. He maintains the dashboard weekly during the whole project life cycle.
7. During closure he follows-up that the final project deliverables are behaving in a correct way - eventual late defects are correctly followed up until resolution. This follow-up includes a customer survey and lessons learned.
8. He is fully accountable for the success of his project, inclusive operational readiness aspects and customer satisfaction, and for bringing the learning from his project to the attention of the organization.
Profiel
1.Master in IT and min 5 years of experience in IT project management (waterfall & agile)
2. Background in telecom industry ( BSS, OSS, Network layer)
3. Certification in project management is a plus
4. Language skills: fluent in English
5. Communication skills - capable of communicating orally and in written towards different levels of the organisation
6. Driving skills - capable of moving a project forward to its target
7. Project skill : MS project plan is mandatory
8. Has practical experienced with Java/D.net development framework
9. Has managed himself E2E successfully several IT projects of more than 500 mds
10. Stress resistant: able to work in a stress full environment, under pressure & still stay calm in any circumstances
