Functieomschrijving
- Work in project teams under the supervision of a technical lead.
- Project teams are generally made of 5-6 members and the work is organized using the SCRUM methodology.
- Focus on implementing the database and business layers components and services (using C#, WCF and SQL server technology).
- Applications are generally made of 4 tiers, the web layer and Silverlight client are completing the two back-end layers.
- Write C# code to implement tasks and stories assigned to him/her during the sprint planning.
- Write unit and/or automated test when appropriate.
- Identifying critical technical feasibility in her / his area of work.
- Participating to the SCRUM process (including helping estimation and prioritization, efficient use of time during sprint planning and review, etc.).
- Perform technical analysis and design on sub-component of the overall solution (overall architecture and design is performed by the project technical lead).
- Organize the review and quality control of own deliverables and of those from developers in her/his area of work.
- Write technical documentation and code comments to ease later maintenance operations.
- Propose new ideas, new technologies, libraries / package of the market for implementing part of the solution.
- For senior developer, organize work of developers involved in her / his areas of work.
- Provide guidance and coaching to developers involved in her/his area of work.
Profiel
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, master degree in Engineering, or equivalent with top scores/ranking.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the IT application development field.
- Deep knowledge and development experience with .Net 4.0 framework and more specifically of WCF, SQL Server, C#.
- Experience with corporate web-commerce-level IT project (multi-tier & service oriented architectures).
- Track record of successful web development projects.
- Good communication skills in English (other languages is a plus).
- Autonomous, well organized, structured and creative.
- Sound problem-solving and initiative taking.
- Be able to cope with pressure and demonstrate a reasonable level of flexibility/adaptability.
