The Application Development Engineer is fully responsible for New Product Developments and Product Improvement Programs including program definition, design, testing and validation within the defined budget, timeline and applicable norms. In order to achieve this, he/she will operate within the Product Group team and as such will be leading and coordinating projects in development and testing with considerable impact on overall GTS worldwide business success. Based on product development strategies and market needs. Besides conceptual thinking, a lot of focus is put on manufacturability and practicality of the chosen solutions. The individual will have to coordinate ideas with CAD-designers as well as with sales/customers, costing and project engineering. The Application Development Engineer will also be the one promoting and defending the product internally and externally, so good communication skills are a big asset.
Profiel
You have minimum a Master degree in Industrial Sciences, Electro-Mechanics or equivalent through experience. Minimus 7 years experience in relevant business environment such as an Engineering position within a product, applicatiom and/or project engineering environment. You have a good understanding of metal contruction and electro-mechanics in general and Knowledge of welding principles, manufacturing processes, filtration technology, fluid dynamic theory and application. Good communication skills in English (verbal & written) is a must and knowledge of French, Dutch or German is an asset. You are strong in problem solving, conceptual thinking and creativity. And last but not least you are a team player, open-minded and you have the eager to learn and to share your knowledge with others.
