AGC Glass Europe
Based in Brussels, AGC Glass Europe produces, processes and distributes flat glass for the construction industry (external glazing and indoor decorative glass), the automotive industry, the solar industry, and specialist industries*. It is the European branch of AGC Glass, the world's largest producer of flat glass.

Strategy and Planning Engineer (m/f)

Strategy :
do specific analysis in order to prepare strategic subjects or studies.
follow up of strategic projects.
follow up of Manufacturing Strategy implementation.
Planning :
industrial capacities : anticipate the needs, prevent bottlenecks, focus on specific technologies
manpower trend anticipation
Leader of the Key Action Plan about the European Manufacturing capacities
Savings :
BOM, Cost Reduction big topics ; coordinate savings actions between Purchasing / Manufacturing / Sales
Ensure the success and the respect of the roadmap
Identify new ideas
S&OP :
represent Manufacturing, allocations and capacity follow-up
Data Gathering:
Collect, compile and sort data from vairous sources within and/or outside the organisation.
Analysis:
Analyse ad gain insight on existing market situations, potential business, geographical expansion opportunities, business cases and internal evolution of our manufacturing network/footprint.
Reporting:
Provide adequate quantitative and qualitative feedback based on KPI follup-up and analysis.
Project Management:
Participate in the implementation of the projects as a project member and/or leader of some projects or sub-projects. Meet project objectives in a efficient way within the determined timeframe.
Internal Business Support:
Provide operational and technical business support during launch process of projects to internal stakeholders
Networking:
Initiate, build and maintain mainly internal contacts. Provide easy access to qualitative information and data.
Profil
- Mechanical Engineer - Analytical mindset
- Automotive experience is appreciated
- English fluent
- Good knowledge about Excel and Access
- Good networking skills & leadership : a lot of interactions with all Division Dpts and all plants
- Communication and Presentation skills
- APICS certification is appreciated (not mandatory - training will be organized)
- Occasional travels (scope = Europe / Russia / Turkey / Brazil)
