Antwerp Space was acquired by OHB AG in 2010 from Thales Alenia Space. The key company activity consists of the turnkey integration of secure mission data dissemination networks for navigation and telecommunication programmes. The company has a wide range of telecom engineering capability and expertize that makes her a suitable candidate for complementary system activities both on the ground and flight segment of satellite projects.
Antwerp Space is also a well established ground equipment supplier both in the institutional and commercial market. Its products currently include baseband equipment for satellite development and integration, high performance demodulators for Earth observation and telecom programmes, as well as high performance RF converters.

Satellite communication payload engineer

As part of the OHB-system team, the person will be in charge of the definition study, integration and testing on the satellite of 3rd party supplied communication payload.
Profil
You have at least 5 years experience in domains of communication payload engineering ( C-, Ku-, Ka-bands), satellite payload integration. If you have a complementary experience in AIT satellite EGSE , TT&R engineering, it will be appreciated. Experience with Geo-stationary satellite is really expected.
Be able to manage subcontractors is an asset.
Fluently in English is a must.
Job location: the first phase of the activity, starting mid 2012, will take place in Bremen (for 1 year at least). It may then be extended by another 2 years full-time presence in Bremen, or by 2 years bi-weekly location in Bremen / Antwerp. Afterwards: Antwerp.
