R&D ENGINEER

You are responsible for specific product and process development projects related to rice derivatives and their industrial food applications within the Business Unit BENEO-Remy. You will report to the R&D Manager. Your main tasks are as follows:
1. Prioritise and execute in a hands-on manner product and process development projects
2. Advise and support other Beneo departments on technical matters related to products, processes & applications
3. Assure timely reporting on project progress on a regular basis
4. Perform literature studies (such as technical articles, patent-literature)
5. Communicate and cooperate openly en effectively with internal customers
Profil
This is a very interesting role for which we will only consider candidates with minimum 3-5 years of applied R&D experience in the food industry and with a strong knowledge of starch ,biochemistry and starch technology. Candidates should furthermore possess the following
qualifications and experiences:
1. Master’s Degree (e.g. bio- or ind. engineer in food chemistry/technology; bio-chemistry)
2. Excellent English (spoken and written)
3. Team oriented attitude with strong communication capabilities
4. Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Powerpoint and Excel)
5. Excellent knowledge of and interest in food texturizers and food binding agents
6. Strong drive to innovate within an applied R&D environment where sound business relevance drives product and process development
