MANUFACTURING MANAGER

Plans and coordinates daily operations to meet production schedules, product standards and operational costs within all relevant cGMP requirements. Prepares production, personnel and financial reports to achieve production goals. Establishes operating policies and procedures to achieve production schedules, product standards and costs.
Key Accountabilities
• Manages a small to medium size group of employees focused on one or more areas in the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing processes and operations.
• Defines necessary resources to meet production schedules that may run across multiple shifts.
• Applies standard costs and use of materials, labor and machines which can affect standard costs.
• Investigates labor, cost and process variances and deviations.
• Develops, revises and ensures accuracy of production plan.
• Contributes to annual budget process through creation of financial schedules for their operation.
• Implements subsequent changes in methodologies.
• Designs all training programs for their operation.
• Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
• Monitors and evaluates completion of tasks and projects.
• Undertakes long and short-term planning and supervision of projects which generally require interaction with other departments.
• Develops tactics to ensure effective achievement of manufacturing objectives.
• It is the responsibility of every manager to ensure that both the safety and environmental requirements are compliant within his team by providing the necessary resources, visualizations and training, as well as the supervision.
• Make sure all subordinates are trained in a cGMP compliant way. Implementation of the policy on the welfare of the employees and the environment by guarding the safety and environmental standards under the assigned authorities. This is demonstrated in the supervision, the formalizing and the supervising of the objectives, the assigning of corrective measures, the presentation of preventive measures, the request for advice from the prevention services and environmental services.
Profil
• At least 6 years of experience in a manufacturing role within a multinational manufacturing environment, a number of years of which will have been at a Manufacturing Supervisory level, preferably within a biotechnological recombinant protein manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of best practice manufacturing systems.
• Fully understand in detail the process sequencing in a manufacturing
• environment.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Be a strong planner and be able to effectively organize complex tasks through completion.
• Ability to actively manage teams.
• Effective coaching skills to develop people and improve performance.
• Detailed knowledge of cGMP manufacturing ideally within an EU and US regulatory framework.
• Excellent problem solving techniques.
• Full understanding of Health & Safety and legal requirements for the safe operation of the team.
