Cost Accountant

As part of the European Finance Team, you perform and manage all cost accounting and controlling activities for various Lubrizol manufacturing sites across Europe.
You are also responsible for maintaining internal control systems ensuring that transactions are executed and recorded in conformity with Lubrizol processes and with US GAAP.
You provide reliable information and act as Finance Business Partner for Site Management.
Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
• You are part of the European Finance Team, with colleagues in Brussels, Oevel, Rouen and Hazelwood.
• You implement, maintain and monitor the cost pricing system, procedures and practices, and propose corrective actions when needed.
• You are responsible for an accurate inventory accounting, analysis and controlling variances.
• You follow-up and analyze Capital Expenditure projects and provide financial support to management in their investment strategies.
• You ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of Plant Operating Results.
• You cooperate with Site Management in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• You act as Finance Business Partner for Site Management.
• You ensure strict compliance with all Corporate Finance policies and provide training when necessary.
• You are the control owner for specific SOX - controls.
Profil
• Degree in Accountancy/Finance and relevant experience of 3 to 5 years, preferably in a multinational and production cost accounting environment.
• Knowledge of SAP and Windows Office tools.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving and results oriented.
• Strong written and spoken command of English, knowledge of other European languages is an asset.
• Willing to travel occasionally to different plant locations across Europe.
